From the artist: The illustrations were created over a twenty year period in my Nottingham, New Hampshire Studio. Nottingham is a place with incredible light and dramatic moody winters. The studio was a three story old New England barn that offered both space and inspiration. Inspiration also came from the many visitors to the studio. Politicians, Writers, Poets, Artists, Musicians, Religious Leaders, Educators and strangers, regular people who would share their stories and opinions. The Nottingham Years were a prolific time for creativity and a time well spent in exploration and experimentation of all forms of art. For this book I selected my favorite illustrations from those years. Years I look back on with a constant sense of wonder and amazement.
